Halo Halo de Iloko

I'm not a fan of halo halo but I like the one they have because of it's unique taste and presentation (but I still can't finish one serving).

The place had a lot of interesting things here and there, so make sure your cam has enough battery during your visit. Most of my snaps are the corners of the place. We went here dinner time on a Sunday and as expected, the place was loaded.

They also serve rice and snacks but we went here for desserts. Make sure to get some extra yema pandan, it's heaven in the mouth!

The Food

Fiesta Halo Halo (Php 99)

All stuff that you can think of in a halo halo is here, plus the extra yema pandan, YUMMY!!! I only finished half coz I'm not that into halo halo , plus the glass is bigger than my face!

Buko Halo Halo (Php 185)

Same ingredients as above, it's just that serving's for sharing or for a halo halo addict.

Chubby Bib's

It was Chubby Bib's soft opening when we went there last month. It was a Sunday, lunch time, and we had the place to ourselves at first so I had the chance to take some good snaps of the place. It's just small but it gives that cozy feel.

The menu's really exciting but I was a bit disappointed when it was served coz it wasn't what I pictured in mind as how it was described. Good concept but it was not executed well especially considering the price. The drinks are good though. Maybe I'll be back for the tacos.

The Food

Burrgito with Fries (Php 160)

It's a twist of burrito and burger. It's so filling coz of the rice so I personally would prefer it with nachos rather than the fries (carb loading!). Ground meat instead of pulled meat, it's the burger part of it.

Chicken Schnitzel with Gravy (Phph 156)

This actually offers a variety of sauces to choose from and some specialty fried rice. Chicken was dry and a bit hard with the breading.

T-bone Steak (Php 185)

This was served with soup, side vegetables, and rice. Meat was well done, nothing striking about the flavor and texture. I honestly dunno if I have the right complain for a Php 180 worth of steak...

soup with the steak

Ginger Beer (Php 65)

It's technically ginger ale so it's non-alcoholic. Yummy! Goes well with the burrgito.

House Blend Iced Tea (Php 70)

This is such a treat!

Asian Wild Berries Soda (Php 75)

Sorry but this tasted like cough syrup for me.

Subs

Subs, with the name itself, they serve a variety of submarine sandwiches and pasta at a really affordable price. Price range is ideal for students' budget and the food quality was beyond what I expected. It's nice to know that there are still food joints out there who don't compromise the quality of the food they serve just to cope with the low price they offer. I'll definitely travel all the way to Subs to get a cheap deal and have a happy tummy.

Here's what we had during this visit. I was curious of all the food they had but one sub was enough and I didn't want to spoil my palate happiness by overloading my tummy. I'll be definetly back for more.

Pictures are a bit blurry, I think this is what happens when you're hungry and can't wait to eat the good food in front of you :p

The Food

Beef Cheesesteak (Pompeii) Php80

Beef and mushrooms embedded on lettuce, tomatoes, onions and smothered with some cheese sauce (served with fries). I'll choose this over a Starving Sailor.

Sloppy Joe (Insomnia) Php 55

Spiced ground pork embedded on lettuce (served with fries). It's a bit sweet but the chili taste I'm looking for is there. Wouldn't complain for a tasty 55-peso sloppy joe.

We had these to go.

Carbonara (Php 70)

Fettuccine in creamy mushroom base with bacon pieces. My kid really enjoyed this. Served with 3 slices of french bread.

Pesto (Php 55)

I can say this is pure basil, topped with tuna flakes. This can go vegetarian just request for the tuna flakes to be eliminated.  Just the right sting from the basil and garlic. Served with 3 slices of french bread.

Ice Tea (Php 30)

It's a home blend ice tea. I really like it!
